Be amongst the first to see how magical video art is inside the blacked out Aldeburgh Beach South Lookout.
Two of Suffolk's most creative video artists Angie Freidburg (alias Chocie) and Chris Newson show their contrasting visions of the world in a series of videos.
Meet the artists and please also join us in The Art House (31 Crag Path, opposite The South Lookout) for a drink and the opportunity to view our new acqusitions hung amongst paintings and sculpture by eminent British and International artists.
Angie Freidburg (alias Chocie) studied an MA in Fine Art at the Royal College of Art and creates and edits experimental videos to various different genres of music, Liquid DnB and Indie. They explore the relationship between image and music and sounds, developing a minimal narrative to engage the viewer, experimenting and intertwining art with music. Chris Newson studied a Degree in Performing Arts at The Welsh College of Music and Drama and went on to acheive a BA Hons in Acting at Ipswich Performing Arts School. Chris now paints prolifically alongside creating visual films and works closely alongside Maggi Hambling. 'Newson's art is his life so it speaks to us about our own lives - fears, joys, grief and delight. It's all here - full of colour and living paint' Maggi Hambling 2011.
