Saturday 8th October 2011 - Sunday 9th October 2011
THE GRAND OPENING of The Aldeburgh Beach South Lookout and The Art House was successful and took place over the weekend of Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th OCTOBER 2011.
Eye Sea Know Ships 2011 by Ryan Gander was successfully hoisted at the opening ceremony. Mark Fuller displayed his moonwalk on Crag Path. Visitors from far and wide attended and musicians entertained throughout the weekend.
There was a poetry recital of 'Howard Hodgkin considers Realism' written especially by GEORGE SZIRTES about SIR HOWARD HODGKIN'S painting Realism which is available to view at The Art House.
Artist in residence (Sunday 25th September - Sunday 9th October) SOPHIE MOLINS had a fabulous time in the South Lookout and produced some fabulous photographs.
Caroline Wiseman gave a presentation on'Vision for the Aldeburgh Beach South Lookout and The Art House' and visitors had the opportunity to visit Glemham Sculpture Park courtesy of Major and Mrs Philip-Hope Cobbold.
